To know that I could capture your beloved furry (or scaly or feathery) friend in a drawing or painting and bring you joy would bring me so much joy as well.

I know how meaningful it is to have a memento of your furbaby to hold onto, and I would love to provide that for you!

the process

How the commission process works from start to finish

First contact me with your request. For example, if you want a portrait of your pet, contact me informing me that you want a portrait of your pet and what you envision it to look like. I will respond within 1-2 days.
Send me high quality photos clearly showing your vision and anything else you want included in the piece.
NO BLURRY photos please! When selecting photos, please consider what you think would look best hanging in your home. For example, Do I really want a picture of my cat with the flash in their eyes?
I can do my best to improve the quality of a photo in my artwork, but this is frustrating for me and could result in inaccuracies in depicting who or what you want me to recreate.
The quality of your photos WILL affect the quality of your painting or drawing.
The more photos and details you provide me with, the better I can help bring your vision to life!
I work in watercolor, acrylic, gouache, graphite, or colored pencil. For design pieces, I also work digitally using ProCreate.
Current sizes I offer are:
4 x 6
8 x 10
9 x 12
11 x 14
12 x 16 *acrylic only
16 x 24 *acrylic only
*if you want a special size, just let me know and I can figure something out for you!
I request that half of the total cost is paid before I begin so my time will be compensated should you not be satisfied with the finished work.
Once I complete the commission, you will pay me the rest. If price is an issue, we can negotiate a payment plan that works for you. However, I do not offer discounts for commissioned work so expect to pay the total cost of the piece.
I will begin working on your painting or drawing as soon as possible. I will send you progress pictures throughout the whole process so you can provide your feedback and request changes before I get too far. The more responsive you are, the faster your commission will be completed! Generally comissions take me 2-3 weeks to finish.
When the piece is complete and to your satisfaction, I will need your mailing address and the rest of the payment. Shipping is not free, but I will factor it in with the final payment total after I receive your mailing address.
I will ship your piece within 2-3 business days and provide you with a tracking number.

Pricing

I currently charge at a rate of $4.50 per square inch for paintings and drawings. For designs or other pieces, cost varies depending on the complexity of the project.
